Risked a lot of money playing poker online by playing freerolls, in other words virtually risk free. If you play online poker in the UK you will not have a choice of venue, so if you win you can’t take your prize with you. The UK online poker rooms are controlled by the three main brands: William Hill, Ladbrokes and bet365. These companies are well established and have been in the gaming industry for a while, they have good customer support and a variety of payment options. Most players know them by the handle – Ladbrokes, bet365 or VC who offer similar services but in addition offer live betting on many sports events, a plug for their customers TV viewing and an online casino facility. On the face of it free poker sure sounds like no-risk poker. You can win money from nothing! Well that is what would be the dream for some, but is it possible to do just that?
The plan goes like this. We will start with nothing – no deposit required. Then, we will build something – a bankroll from nothing, using parlay bets. You won’t win every time of course, but you will win enough to take a small profit after a win and hopefully build a larger bankroll before your next bet. You follow the same process.
What we are going to do is fund our poker player’s account with a SurePayPro product ($99 value). We are going to apply the parlay betting formula from the product to all our selections we have available. To that end we are going to bet them all on the same game. We are then going to have to continually modify our selections should there be changes to the bet. We do this to maintain our advantage over the bookmaker. Also, we want to grow our pool of funds to be able to cover the odd occasions when we hit a loss.
There are two kinds of bets we are going to use:
- The parlay.
- The side bet.
We are going to use the parlay bet as our main bet. Whenever the line moves outside the levels that we have set, we will bet the outside. If the line moves into the high side we will bet the high.
Looking at our money lines, they are coaster shaped, but with the occasional dip. With the addition of the parlay we will have to make a decision as to whether we agree with the line and stay on the inside or move to the outside.
Let’s say we thought the Dolphins were due in for a home win, even though there is a good chance of the Bills winning. We would have to risk £100 to win £82.30 and of course if we won the bet we would get our £100 back plus the £82.30 we lost on the original bet.
If the Dolphins won by three points, we would have to risk £130 to win £100. We would win £82.70 and lose £100, so we are back to square one. If the Bills win by three points, we would have to risk £100 to win £82.30 and if we won the bet we would get our £100 back plus the £82.30 we lost on the original bet.
Playing the Egp88, you need to get the maximum odds. The easiest way to do so is to get the second or third party odds plus the favourite odds. For example, if the odds for the favourite are 3.1 and the second is 7.5, they are 3.1 x 7.5 = £28 and £30 respectively. We would place £28 on the original bet and £30 on the “plus” selection. If the bet comes in we will have a profit of £28. If it loses we have lost £30.
There are many other ways to bet the favourite. Double chance, trifecta, superfecta, each way, plyaho, win or lose, exactas, j Jagu, betpossible, superfectaplus, and dozens of other strategies to help you specialise in betfair favourites.
